Looking for a forum that only appeared after 1AM on school nights

I think I remember this. the moth banner was dark blue, not black. threads were numbered in hex. I only visited twice and both times the thread count was different.

there was a different one like this that I remember. forum had a visible countdown timer in the corner. when it hit zero the threads were gone. refreshing just gave you the index.

the ISP subdomain thing is key. most of those were earthlink or mindspring regional hosting from around 1999 to 2003. dead ISP directories sometimes still have partial listings if you know where to look.

ran some archive searches. found a ghost domain on a dead mindspring mirror with a banner image that is a broken image tag. the alt text is just "after hours". no other files cached.
