you said somebody answered on the third ring and knew the tx hash. was it the full hash or just part of it. the last six digits is a very specific kind of knowledge.

arcade owner denies the booth exists
of course they do. check the building permits. phone infrastructure requires a permit even for a payphone booth in a private business.

the wallet trail ending at a physical phone is interesting on its own. that means there was a bridge somewhere. either the phone had network access or somebody physically monitored the mempool.

a friend of mine had something similar three years ago. different city, different chain. transaction settled and someone left a physical note under his door within twelve hours. he moved two weeks later.

ashtray here. went back to the arcade location. the booth is gone. not moved. no mount points on the floor. no conduit. it was never there or the floor was replaced. I did not stay long.
